CBC and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television proudly welcome the exciting line-up of presenters and special guests set to join hosts George Stroumboulopoulos and Andrea Martin, and Voice of the Genies, Rossif Sutherland – as well as a talented roster of musical artists – to help celebrate the year’s biggest achievements in Canadian movies. An amazing lineup of star power will be on display when the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS are broadcast live on CBC Television on Thursday, March 8 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT).
Special guests presenting at the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS include screen legend Gordon Pinsent (Away From Her), Adam Beach (Arctic Air), Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle), Zaib Shaikh (Midnight’s Children, Little Mosque on the Prairie), Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz), Karine Vanasse (Pan Am), Sarah Gadon (A Dangerous Method), Kim Coates (Goon), Tyler Labine (Planet of the Apes), Cassie Steele (The L.A. Complex), Gregory Smith (Rookie Blue), Fefe Dobson (Home Again), Gabrielle Miller (Corner Gas), this year’s Voice of the Genies, Rossif Sutherland, and more. These special guests join the previously announced slate of musical artists, including Johnny Reid, The Sheepdogs, and K’NAAN. The 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS will also feature a special tribute to this year’s Best Original Song nominees, presented by figure skating stars Joannie Rochette, Jamie Salé and David Pelletier.
