ET Canada Festival Central 2009 World Premiere Gala Of "Glorious 39" – 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. CBC and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television proudly welcome the exciting line-up of presenters and special guests set to join hosts George Stroumboulopoulos and Andrea Martin, and Voice of the Genies, Rossif Sutherland – as well as a talented roster of musical artists – to help celebrate the year’s biggest achievements in Canadian movies. An amazing lineup of star power will be on display when the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS are broadcast live on CBC Television on Thursday, March 8 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT).

Special guests presenting at the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS include screen legend Gordon Pinsent (Away From Her), Adam Beach (Arctic Air), Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle), Zaib Shaikh (Midnight’s Children, Little Mosque on the Prairie), Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz), Karine Vanasse (Pan Am), Sarah Gadon (A Dangerous Method), Kim Coates (Goon), Tyler Labine (Planet of the Apes), Cassie Steele (The L.A. Complex), Gregory Smith (Rookie Blue), Fefe Dobson (Home Again), Gabrielle Miller (Corner Gas), this year’s Voice of the Genies, Rossif Sutherland, and more. These special guests join the previously announced slate of musical artists, including Johnny Reid, The Sheepdogs, and K’NAAN. The 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDS will also feature a special tribute to this year’s Best Original Song nominees, presented by figure skating stars Joannie Rochette, Jamie Salé and David Pelletier.

You got it Gleeks… Cassie Steele wants to be on Glee. I could totally see her as a cousin or relative to the already queen Santana. (Did I mention that Naya Rivera reminds me of Cassie?- Both got such powerful voices)

I would kill for this and I was just telling my friend about how she needs to be on Glee so we can hear her sing all the time. Now, Everyone we need to get Cassie on Glee! This year has been an amazing year for Cassie with the news of Cassie leaving Karamel to the news of an expected album set to be released next year. Cassie has so much to look forward to in 2012… She has a new TV Show and an expected album! We’re all excited to see what Cassie will bring in 2012. Happy 22nd Birthday to the most amazing girl on the planet. She has shown us so much of her talent from Degrassi to her music to even staring in other movies/tv shows such as Instant Stars, My Babysitter’s a Vampire, The Best Years, Full Court Miracle,Doc and Super Sweet 16: The Movie. She will even be gracing us with her present on TV yet again when they air her new show Highland Gardens. What exactly has Cassie been up to these days. Cassie right now is recording her EP still and as well as finishing up filming season 1 of Highland Gardens. Right now we can not say when/where Highland Gardens will premiere in the states. Right now there is NO release date for her next album. I am gonna guess probably in 2012. It was also announced Cassie did a new photoshoot and when the time comes we will share it with you! In the meantime, I’ve been working hard on the revamp of the site including the gallery. Cassie and Alvina have already seen the new look and they are loving it! I can’t wait to share it with all you guys. We will have close up to 900 private photos of her including high quality appearances and Degrassi stills/photoshoots. Stay tune for more updates on Cassie!

I have decided it was time for a new layout as there is not much going on with Ms. Cassie right now. She is currently having a road trip with her sister Alex and her current boyfriend Jarret Campbell to what seems to be my home state Florida. She is still very much at work on her upcoming album with Kara Lanely and their debut cd for Karamel. You can currently purchase their latest hit maker Moves on itunes.

Our girl Cassie Steele turns 21 today. We have seen her grown up from the tender age of 12 on Degrassi:The Next Generation in which she plays Manny Stantos. Now with Manny out and Cassie is focusing on her music and her new band Karamel. She is finally legal in the states and is on her way to super stardom. With her band touring around the world soon, Cassie Steele will be a household name. We take this time to wish our girl a Happy Birthday. Also you can listen to an unreleased song titled Cafe De Cruel which sadly didn’t make the cut on her latest album Destructo Doll.
